I received my doctorate in 1980 from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology and have been in private practice since that time. My clinical training included work with Bob Goulding, MD and Mary Goulding, MSW at the Western Institute for Group and Family Therapy. I also studied with the late Dr. Eric Berne in Carmel, California.

My clinical work has always included working with individuals, couples and groups. I have consulted with organizations and religious communities and have volunteered extensively with the International Transactional Analysis Association.

My theoretical and practical approach includes integrating psychodynamic psychotherapy, transactional analysis, gestalt, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I am an advanced Teaching Member of the International Transactional Analysis Association and a recipient of the Muriel James Living Principles Award. I am a Charter Member and Diplomate of the Redecision Therapy Association, a member of USATAA, CAMFT, and also a member of the American Psychological Association and the California Psychological Association.
